Have a nice combination of flavours to share?

When combining your WHISKY STIKs or FLAVOUR STIKs you may come across a nice combination from your own experiments.

We have put this blog post here for you as part of the community of home brewers to leave their experience and how their mix has turned out.

To help all in sharing their results, we have put together the template below so that it’s easy for everyone to do what you have done.

Base Spirit Used

Used a home distilled corn mash mix and the starting alcohol percentage was 70%

How Long Were They Left In

The stiks were left in for 6 months and we moved the bottle once a week to keep the liquid moving across the wood. The bottle was left in a room temperature cupboard in the kitchen

  1. Stiks Used:

    – 1 WHISKY STIK AM Oak dark toast
    – 2 FLAVOUR STIKs medium toast
    – 1 Chared WHISKY STIK AM Oak dark toast (light STICK and when full STIK burning quench in water)

    Base Spirit Used:

Either Russian Bear Vodka or Smirnoff Vodka

How Long Were They Left In:

Put 100ml in a small jar or nip bottle and add AM Oak dark roast STIK leave for 7 days.
Put the 2 FLAVOUR STIKs and Char stick to the remainder in the bottle and leave for one week, then add the 100ml back and remove the AM Oak STIK. Leave on the wood for 90 days. Added 3.75ml of glycerine to cut the harshness of the Vodka.

    Some Other Things You Did:

Tried in on my friend after 3 months :))

It was received very well and especially with the Russian Bear vodka no-one would believe that it was the base spirit.
The Hickory STIKS are my favorite as I really like the smell and taste of the Hickory, its smooths the alcohols.
